However, many people who live in and visit the Empire City find out that New York has an amazing selection of family activities for locals and tourists.? While the city is host to numerous child and family activities, we?ve chosen our top ten of the most family friendly, entertaining, unique and classic activities for vacations to New York.

An amazing way to explore the city of New York is to view it from the seat of a bicycle. Adults and children love bike rides and seeing the gorgeous city of parks, skyscrapers, homes and New York life. This humongous toy store takes up an entire city block and is the oldest toy store in America. This little shop is the perfect place for a food stop on a family vacation in New York. Zaggat rated it a 22 and describes it as ?yummy? peanut butter sandwiches with ?artisan breads? where ?adults can relive their childhoods.?
